Recipe – Chikoo Milkshake / Chikoo Smoothie

Serves: 2

Ingredients

  • Ripe Chikoo: 2
  • Milk: 2 Cups
  • Sugar: 1 tablespoons
  • Vanilla extract: ½ teaspoon
  • Vanilla Ice cream: 2 scoops
  • Ice Cubes: 4-6

Method

  • Peel and cut the Chikoo into small pieces. Deep fridge them in refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Blend the frozen Chikoo, sugar, milk, ice cream, vanilla extract until smooth.
  • While serving, add 2-3 ice cubes in a glass, pour the Chikoo shake.
  • You may add some Chikoo pieces in the shake while serving.

Recipe – Almond Milk / Badam Dudh

Prep Time: 4-5 hours

Cook time: 10 Minutes

Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • Milk: 4 cups
  • Almonds (Badam): 30-32
  • Elaichi Powder(Cardamom): ¼ Teaspoon
  • Saffron Strands (Kesar): 4-5 Threads
  • Sugar: 1 1/2 tablespoon or to taste

Method

  • Soak the badam in water for 4-5 hours. Drain the water and peel the badam skin.
  • Blend the peeled badam in smooth paste using 1 tablespoon milk.
  • Boil 4 cup of milk in a pot.
  • once it started boiling, lower the heat. add the badam paste, elaichi powder, sugar and saffron strands.
  • Stir well and simmer it for another 3-4 minutes or till sugar dissolves.
  • Pour in cup/glass and serve hot.
  • Or, let it cool completely. then refrigerate it and serve cool.

Recipe – Thai Iced Tea

Serves: 4 cups

Ingredients:

  • Water: 4 ½ Cup
  • Sweet condensed milk / milkmaid: 4 tablespoons
  • Tea: 4 Teaspoon or 4 tea bags
  • Sugar: 2 tablespoons
  • Cloves: 2
  • Cardamoms: 2
  • Star Anise: 1
  • Ice cubes: 8

Method:

  • Boil water, tea, cloves, cardamoms and star anise for 4-5 minutes.
  • Add sugar and boil for 2-3 minutes again. Turn off the heat.
  • Sieve and pour Tea in another container. Let it cool completely for 30 minutes.
  • Add 2 ice cubes and 1 tablespoon condensed milk in each of the 4 cups/glasses.
  • Stir well and serve.

Cook’s Note:

  • You may use tea bags. Boil water with cloves, cardamoms and star anise. Sieve and pour in another container. Add tea bags. Remove the tea bags after sometime.
  • You may use coconut milk instead of sweet condensed milk.

Recipe – Kiwi Banana Milkshake / Kiwi Banana Smoothie

Ingredients

  • Ripe Banana: 1 large
  • Kiwi: 2 medium
  • Milk: 2 Cup
  • Sugar: 2 tablespoons
  • Vanilla extract: ½ teaspoon
  • Vanilla Ice cream: 2 scoop
  • Cardamom Powder: ¼ teaspoon
  • Ice Cubes: 4-6
  • Mixed dry fruits: chopped, 1 tablespoon

Method

  • Peel and cut the banana and kiwi into small pieces. Deep fridge them in refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Blend the frozen banana, sugar, milk, ice cream, vanilla extract, cardamom powder. Do not blend in high mode and for long time, as the kiwi seeds break and the smoothie becomes bitter. Sometimes, because of this bitterness milk curdles. If so, do not drink it.
  • While serving, add 2-3 ice cubes in a glass, pour the Kiwi banana shake and garnish with chopped dry fruits.
